Source: Citigroup in talks to buy stake in ailing hedge fund
Citigroup Inc. is in negotiations to buy a stake in Amaranth Advisors LLC, the Stamford, Conn., hedge fund whose bad bets on natural gas have cost it billions of dollars this month, according to a person familiar with the matter.
