Honolulu firm serves as advisor to new hedge fund

A new hedge fund advised by Honolulu-based Bellamy Fund Management LLC has opened to invest in distressed Asian companies. The Takarajima Fund, which is registered in the Cayman Islands, is a yen-denominated fund open to high net-worth investors and institutions.

Biden, Senator’s Son, Is Sued Over Purchase of Hedge-Fund Firm

Jan. 31 (Bloomberg) -- R. Hunter Biden, a Washington lobbyist and son of U.S. presidential hopeful Senator Joseph Biden, fraudulently excluded a partner from the purchase of a hedge-fund investment firm, the partner claims in a lawsuit.
