Florida hedge fund manager who disappeared during inquiry pleads not guilty

NEW YORK - A Florida hedge fund manager who disappeared while investigators closed in on him has pleaded not guilty to fraud. Defense lawyer Mark Gombiner (GAHM'-beye-nur) told a federal judge in Manhattan on Thursday that Arthur Nadel cannot make his $5 million bail.

Rampart Capital to Start Trading for Energy Hedge Fund by July

April 30 (Bloomberg) -- Rampart Capital, a company set up by the founders of Foundation Energy Ltd., plans to begin trading for its energy hedge fund by July, targeting initial investments of $100 million.
