ABN AMRO rejects shake-up plan
AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (Reuters) -- ABN AMRO said on Wednesday it would let shareholders vote on proposals made by hedge fund TCI for a shake-up of the bank but recommended they reject them as it looks at a potential merger with British bank Barclays.

BERLIN -(Dow Jones)- Germany won't put forward a new proposal on how to boost transparency in the hedge fund industry at the meeting of the Group of Seven leading nations in Washington next month, but an "intensive" discussion should take place, finance ministry spokesman Torsten Albig said Friday.
